Milk phospholipid extract, standardized to sphingomyelin · the ingredient class behind Milkogni.
Milkogni is a milk-derived phospholipid ingredient that supplies the building blocks of the neuronal cell membrane. Standardized to sphingomyelin and supported by a 12-week human clinical trial, it is formulated to support memory, attention and cognitive function.
Ingredient specification
- Brand nameMilkogni®
- Ingredient nameMilk Phospholipids
- Manufacturing methodUltrafiltration followed by ethanol extraction
- Marker compoundSphingomyelin, 1% or more
- Recommended intake500 mg per day, as milk phospholipid extract

What Milkogni does
- Composition of the brain cell membrane
- Activation of neurotransmitters
- Improvement of memory and cognition
The marker compound is sphingomyelin. Recovered and concentrated by ultrafiltration followed by ethanol extraction, the process is designed to enrich the membrane-derived phospholipid fraction while keeping the marker compound intact, supporting brain cell membrane structure, neurotransmitter activity, and memory and cognitive function.
Clinical results
The trial was conducted at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital, where 100 adult men and women consumed Milkogni for 12 weeks. The test group showed a significant 23% greater improvement in attention and concentration (Auditory CPT) relative to the placebo group. Milkogni was proven safe over the 12-week consumption period.
| Test | Endpoint (method) | Absolute change (test group) | Relative efficacy (vs. placebo) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Attention | Auditory CPT score | +3.81 points | 23% higher improvement (p=0.045) |
| Global cognition | CNT total score | +1.31 points | Positive improvement trend |
| Neuroprotection | BDNF stabilization | Loss inhibited | Improvement trend |
| Antioxidant | MDA inhibition | -0.01 levels | Lowering of oxidative stress |
Note: results may vary by individual.
